Armando toledo
Born in Puerto Rico and immediately absconded to Newark, NJ, Armando Toledo began his musical journey at an early age. Attracted to musical instruments since birth but began his love affair with drumming at age 12. Growing up in the MTV generation he was exposed to all kinds of music but was first hit with the music bug when he discovered heavy metal.Mainly influenced by the drumming in Metallica and Tool; Armando’s drumming style and approach can be described as controlled chaos. He plays with power, passion, and intricacy. Not at all flashy but the passion is felt. He feels at home in the studio as well as on the live stage. Armando was recently awarded as “2023 Drummer of the Year” by the Steamtown Music Awards.

kris Huber
Kris Huber was born on June of 1989 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He developed an interest in music at a young age with the help of family encouragement. He took on the drums at around ten years old and studied under different instructors for approximately two years. Some of the artists he enjoyed in these beginning stages included Black Sabbath, Metallica, Rush, Dream Theater and Fear Factory. He recalled the first song he learned being “Waffle” by Sevendust. Drumming came naturally to Kris and in his early years when he saw other kids just playing instruments for the sake of playing, he already knew that he wanted to play professionally. While he was in school, he started a cover band called Ytsejam. When Ytsejam reached the end of its lifespan, Kris realized the appeal of original music when he became the vocalist for local death metal band Pillage. After the fall of Pillage and when Futile Effort was beginning to surface, Kris was having a difficult time finding other like-minded musicians that were interested in the kind of material that he wanted to write. When he developed this solo project, he pushed himself to learn guitar, bass, and some piano to round out his capabilities without other members. When he fleshed out the material and found interested musicians, Futile Effort ended up being a band Kris did lead vocals for while drumming. At first, Kris was involved with Ethereal Collapse only to fill in for their drummer. When he was given the offer to play full-time, he scrapped Futile Effort. Ethereal Collapse went on to play shows with big metal names including Mastodon, Goatwhore, Whitechapel and Alestorm, amongst others. Kris saw success with Ethereal Collapse as the band received raving reviews and signed a contract to have downloadable music featured on popular videogame Rock Band®. In 2012 Ethereal Collapse released a new album entitled, “The Precipice of Failure.” Not only recording drum tracks, backing vocals and clean vocals, Kris also contributed four songs to the final cut of the album. With a fast, thrash song, progressive tracks, and even a ballad, Kris found creative freedom with Ethereal. However, when offers for tours and possible record contracts were coming the band’s way, soon came forth the pressure on other members. So for 3 years Kris played with The Benderz touring the East Coast doing 140+ shows getting a ton of road experience. Unfortunately, some family and health issues brought Kris back to NEPA, ending his time with them. Throughout the issues, Kris hasn’t let up in his pursuit of music. With a deeper understanding of what he wants to do as a musician, Kris continues to push toward his goals with hopes of finding the right situation. Kris has been professionally drumming (and now even playing guitar) all over the eastern US with various bands full time while pursuing Live Audio Engineering which he studied in college. For the last 4 years, he’s been performing with Until Sunrise, and he’s also been taking on students both in-person at Rising Stars Performing Arts Academy and remotely in hopes of inspiring and informing the next generation of musicians

Peter clark
Peter Clark got his start on his love for music when he was 8 years old listening to The Beatles and Elvis Presley on the car radio when he rode with his dad. He then became infatuated with the guitar at 13 years old when one of his neighbors showed him a YouTube video of Joe Satriani performing his signature hit song "Surfing With The Alien". His musical journey continued as he continually practiced 1-3 hours a day for years to come until he got his 1st professional gig with a power-pop, rock/pop band Alesia Sound in Baltimore, MD. Then he played with Michael Trotter for a few months across the US and it has shaped his palette on his abilities. He took a pause on performing professionally for career reasons until he met up with Jon Snow, Armando Toledo, and Robert McCann to play with the Godsmack tribute band Realign in February 2023 and it then blossomed into Issues, T.O.A.D, and the rest is history.

Born and raised in Cristo Rey, Dominican Republic. At an early age, she discovered the rich and diverse culture in music, which influenced her to pursue music. At the age of 12 she moved to the States, and growing up she continued to develop an ear for music. With no preference in general she would listen and admire it all. Being able to dissect every sound, tempo, and beat, she realized that she had a passion for creating and mixing music. This led her to study her field of choice which is Musical Engineer. Her style of mixing has developed into more clubhouse music. It's fun, and energetic just like her personality. She has recently accomplished a dream by becoming a member of a Band called "Red Cap Assassins". D-YeFLy has the skill of Spinning tunes that make you move and groove! Eyal filkovsky
Born in Israel, Eyal immigrated to the United States at the age of nine. Starting off in Long Island, he embarked on a journey for the next several years that took him to live in Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Maryland. At 18, he joined the United States Air Force and served 6 years active duty. During this time he was stationed at Virginia, Colorado, South Korea, and two tours to Iraq.
Shortly after separating from the Air Force, Eyal went to the art institute of Colorado to study digital filmmaking and video production. During this time he also opened a production studio in Colorado and ran that for 5 years.
Life got in the way as it does at times, and forced Eyal to close his business and move to Louisiana. A couple of years later he moved to northeastern Pennsylvania where he now resides.
Eyal has always created, even as a kid he would take still cameras and create stop motion animations using things lying around the house. His style tends to be dark and moody, but it doesn't always have to be.

alex kijek
Taking the stage comes naturally to Alex, since she has nearly a lifetime of experience. Her performance career began when she was just four years old as a student of ballet and tap at the Joan Harris Centre, and she hasn’t stopped since. She’s continued to perform with the Joan Harris Centre, adding the dance disciplines of jazz, pointe, and modern to her dance repertoire, and furthering her role at the studio to a teacher/choreographer in 2017.
Musically, Alex can honestly say she has had the most influence from Avril Lavigne herself, crediting the artist with her emergence in music as both a listener and as singer/songwriter. Alex has been singing since she could speak, and began learning to play guitar in 2005. She first officially stepped into the music scene in 2011 under the name of Escaping Nova Scotia, and later rebranded herself to SocioEmpath. Her solo endeavors are few and far in between, usually only emerging from the cocoon of hiatus to perform her original music every half decade or so.
Alex’s most recent performance explorations have come in the form of musical theatre. She stepped onto the stage at Little Theatre of Wilkes Barre in their 2021 production of The Rocky Horror Show, and has since also performed in Footloose, Chicago, and took on the challenge of choreographing their 2023 production of The Rocky Horror Show.
With her experience and influences, Alex is thrilled to embody Avril in ETC’s Sk8er Gurl (just don’t ask her to do an ollie).
